Ten two-year-old heifers averaged 84.7 points and included seven VG heifers (two with 86 points and five at 85 points). The Jersey classification of EX94 points went to the reigning Adelaide Royal Show's Supreme Champion Dairy Cow, Silverlie Stars Lilac. Lilac was honourable mention champion Jersey at IDW in 2008. Lilac is 9.5 years old with six calves under her belt, including a 2009-born Comerica heifer and she was milking 41 litres in her September herd test, giving her in 120 days (record in progress) 5658 litres, 3.6% 202Kg protein, 4.3% 245Kg fat.Last season she finished with 10090 litres, 3.5% 350Kg protein, 4.5% and 458Kg fat. Lilac is being prepared for her third successive year at IDW 2010. Double-D Flowerpower Tulip classified EX92 points and her dam, Livewire Lemvig Tulip, classified EX90 points. Edi Bomber Blacky (owned with Edi Jerseys) - classified 88 points (max). Blacky is out of the famous EX96 Blacky Rose of Briarcliffs, who was the US 2002 National Grand Champion. |
